Village People Confirm Performance at Trump Inauguration Events

The iconic band, Village People, has announced that they will be performing at events surrounding Donald J. Trump’s upcoming inauguration. This marks a surprising turn of events given their previous disagreements over Trump using their songs at his rallies.

The band revealed that they accepted an invitation from President-elect Trump’s campaign to be part of the inaugural activities, including an event featuring Trump himself. Despite their past differences with Trump, Village People noted that his presence has been beneficial for their business.

In a message to their fans, the band stated, “We know this won’t make some of you happy to hear however we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics.” They added that they hope their performance of the popular song “Y.M.C.A.” can help unify the country following a divisive electoral campaign.

It is important to note that the group will not be performing at the official inauguration ceremony next Monday. Instead, the Village People are slated to appear at various events related to the inauguration.

Meanwhile, country star Carrie Underwood is scheduled to perform “America The Beautiful” during Trump’s inauguration. However, it seems Trump is especially looking forward to the upbeat rhythm of “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People.
